Prof. Dr. Tülay Kuzlu Ayyıldız from the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing, together with Specialist Nurse Safiye Çatalçam, a diabetes nurse at the Health Practice and Research Center, conducted a seminar titled “Diabetes at School” at Zonguldak Science High School and İMKB Anatolian High School on November 20, 2025.

During the event, students and teachers were informed about the signs and management of diabetes, as well as the challenges faced by diabetic students in the school environment. The seminar attracted significant interest from participants. The experts shared practical tips and awareness strategies to support diabetic students in their daily school life.

This educational initiative in Zonguldak contributed to raising awareness about diabetes within the school community and promoting healthy lifestyle habits among students.
