Beautification of Breastfeeding Room - Volunteering Project
BEUN Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing 2nd year students carried out the volunteer project titled "Embellishing the Pediatric Emergency-Breastfeeding Room" under the coordination of Dr. Lecturer Yeliz DİNÇER within the scope of the Social Responsibility Project Course at Zonguldak Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital on April 30, 2025 at 13:30. In the project carried out within the scope of 2025 being the "Family" year, the students prepared the walls, curtains, doors and ceiling of the breastfeeding room in the Zonguldak Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital Emergency Department using equipment such as stickers, ornaments and candles that could attract the attention of babies and reduce the stress of mothers, and donated these materials to the relevant unit. With this activity, it was aimed to beautify the breastfeeding room and make it safer for mothers and babies, and to contribute to the families coming to the emergency department having a healthy breastfeeding experience in the hospital environment.
